Design of Low-Voltage FO-[PD] Controller for Motion Systems

Fractional-order controllers have gained significant research interest in various practical applications due to the additional degrees of freedom offered their tuning process. The main contribution this work is analog implementation, for first time literature, a fractional-order controller with transfer function that not directly constructed from terms Laplacian operator. This achieved using Padé approximation, and resulting integer-order implemented operational transconductance amplifiers as active elements. Post-layout simulation results verify validity introduced procedure.
